Likie Low
As a musician, I specialise in performing in big electronic dance music shows with my large band, made up of a Chinese ensemble and a brass ensemble. I am an Erhu performer, electronic dance music producer and a composer arranger. I spend a lot of time creating, writing music. I love having fun and just being able to create all the time.
Music is a drug that does not harm your body. When done right, music can make you experience all sorts of emotions. One single piece of music, or even a 3 minute song could make you experience just a huge roller coaster of emotions like you’ve never done before.
I specialize in the contemporary pop style of playing and technique (for pop performance/gigging), as well as how to play with backing tracks for session recording and performance involving electronics.
Through the two-stringed Chinese instrument, I aim to bring out your talent and musicality. The Erhu is just a way to bring your sound out. The instrument is but a vehicle, the actual music is within you.
I started learning the piano at 4 years old, the erhu at 9 years old and never stopped! It’s been about 20 years.
My teaching style is simple: You set your goals, I get you there.
Create your own music, play your own music! Own Your Music! Everything through the Erhu.
